How do I get paint off a bathtub?

I live in a low-rent apartment and apparently the complex's handyman decided to paint the inside of our bathtub and bathroom sink. Both are peeling ridiculously, and I am tired of taking baths with paint chips floating. How can I just strip the rest of it off without hurting the tub?
