My boat dont want to go into reverse?

When it is out of the water it will go into reverse but when it is in the water it wont. When I engauge it into reverse it makes a grinding sound like it starts to but then the motor starts shaking like it cant. The bushings in my gearbox are bad could this be it? How can I exchange the torsion bar on my E Z loader boat trailer?

What should I do if I paid a DIY guy to do a job and it has not been fixed?

I saw an Ad. in a local magazine offering 'Handyman Services' so I called him out and asked him to see if he could fix my leaking porch roof. Seeing she has already had a litter, she should be okay to deliver the second litter. Keep her intake of veges high, especially those high in vitamin C and calcium. Cos lettuce, capsicum, broccoli, parsley and alfalfa hay are all great things to feed pregnant guinea pigs, and it will help the babies grow strong. Be careful when you pick her up so you don't injure the babies. You can get her to walk onto a towel then pick the towel up; I've read that's the best way to pick up pregnant piggies. Jeep wrangler rebuilt motor overheats at 65 mph?

I have a 2000 jeep wrangler with a rebuilt motor (6 cyl), new water pump (high performance), new thermostat, new belt, new radiator and new high per. oil pump. It runs fine until I reach about 65 mph and it starts to get over 210 degrees (where is has alway stayed, even before I change motor). I would say it get about 250 degrees, never hits the red, but I usally don't drive it more that 20 miles when it starts to run hot. As soon as i slow down it gradually goes back to 210 degrees. the temp gauge is working fine. Does anyone know what it might be?

How to build a good tbi 350?

hi i'm 17 years old and i'm restoring a 1987 chevy truck. The truck is supposed to be a 350 tbi but it is carbureted idk if the engine was motified for the carb or is a whole different engine. The motor is worn out and im going to remove it and im gonna replace it with either a 1977 block which i would rebuild or a 1988 tbi motor. I really like the fuel injected motors but i want to build it into a mild 300 horse engine that can haul trailer loads of scrap and firewood and have some fun offroading and show off a bit around town. I've been leaning towards the 77 block because there seems to be a lot more aftermarket parts out for carbed motors but i really don't want to give up on the fuel injected motor. I like how it makes some really nice low end torque. Either engine i will have bored 40 over and after that i really don't know where i should go with the tbi motor. i have the 77 planned out but i'd like to know how to build a good low to mid range rpm tbi motor and im open to any suggestions thank you.

We want to make our dining room in our apartment into a bedroom, and thought building drywall might be a good answer. The ceiling is 9' high and the wall would be 13' feet. The way i see this is that you could actually beat him to it and have him charged with assualt for the choking of you. he could also however have you charged with assualt, but you have a witness on your side and would obvisouly plea self defence. if you have any marks around your neck from the choking it would be good to take a photo of them for record. i would keep calm and see what happens. I imagine this guy shoud be more concerned than you anyway as he should (if he uses his brain) realise that you could report him to the police for assualting a female including assualting yourself. What's wrong with me?

(Posting in Marriage and Divorce because of the maturity) I don't have any friends. No one to talk to when I am feeling down or lonely. I used to own my own business but I had to close last april due to economy. I try to meet men online but they talk to me once and then they move on. It sounds like it's pretty close. I had lower pelvis pains with contractions, and they moved to my back. They didn't really hurt, and then the same thing happened to me with the mucus. About 12 hours later, my water broke, and I really went into labor. So- It sounds like you're very close. 2 out of 3 of my pregnancies...something just felt "different" the day before labor....much like what you're describing. But- You will definatly know when you are in active labor, and it will probably be soon. Good luck!

I have an Home AC Unit. Though the compressor turns on the fan will not. Please read my further comments.?

I tested the capacitor to see if that could be the problem. It is a dual start capacitor, with both the compressor and the fan hooked up to it. I don't have a capacitance tester so I used my multimeter and tested the ohms. Both portions of the capacitor started out at 0 and as they charged from the multimeter went to infant ohms as expected on a good capacitor. The capacitor does not appear to be blown or bubbled at the top though it is extremely rusty for being only 4 years old. I also pulled the fan motor off the AC Unit and checked the resistance in the motor. There are only 3 wires coming out so I tested all three which added up to what equates to a good motor. Beyond this I just can't figure out why the dang fan won't start. The bearings on the fan seem fine as well. They do not feel seized up. The blade spins fairly freely. The only thing I can thing is to check the relay swith. How can I tell if that is bad?

I'm a middle aged woman with a very lazy husband. I do most of the heavy construction jobs on our house. I work a full time job and two part time jobs. The hubby also works full time, but I swear to God...every time I ask him to help me with something I get rolling of the eyes and moaning and groaning, and then he promises to do it but doesn't. There's a large piece of plywood in my garage that I've been asking him to help me feed through the table saw because one person can't handle it and it's been sitting there FOR A YEAR. Last summer I was outside mixing mortar and laying concrete block at night. He says he's going to come out and help me, and what does he do? He brings me a floodlight and goes back in the house. I just asked him to go pick me up a piece of rigid foam board for me since he has an SUV and I can't fit it in my car, and I got drama again. I think there are a ton of men out there who would really appreciate the fact that their wives can do the stuff I do and fling around construction material like a mule. And work. And cook. And clean. And do the laundry. Yes- hubby WILL clean from time to time without bitching. He'll grab a vacuum of his own accord but if I ask him to pick up a screwdriver it's like I asked him to kill his mother. It's not that he's intimidated by me...he's perfectly capable of doing this stuff too, he's just incredibly lazy. What is the best vortech supercharger for 99-04 pi mustang gt?

I have a 1996 Mustang gt. I have been building a motor for my car this past year and so far I have a 4.6L block bored .020, with a crank thats rated at about 600 hp (its not forged) with forged H-beam rods and Forged Probe pistons. I will soon be buying the 99-04 PI head kit. I have decided that the vortech supercharger is going to be the best for me (I wish I could afford a kenne bell but the price just seems out of the question) so my question is what vortech supercharger kit would get me around 450 hp. I see only one on American Muscle that gives around 405hp but that does not seem like a smart choice buying a supercharger from AM. Also with my bottom end what would be a safe psi to run,and i want the SC to really scream. I know I have a lot of questions; when it finally comes to buying a supercharger I really want it to be the right one. links would be awesome.

1998 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT ticking sound?

Sounds almost a rod knock but goes away at about 2800 rpm. I've heard that in '97 they switched to a hydraulic lifter and needed to have the valve reset every 100,000 miles. The car is getting close to 140,000. I don't know if that's true or not, but if not what else could the sound be? It sounds like it coming from inside the motor somewhere. I have no clue where anything is in the motor, I've never worked on a Subaru before other than a motor swap. This is the cars second engine and i'd really like the keep it alive this time. okay so it all started when i was testing and disconnected spark plug caple from the coil while the car was running and at that moment it reved up to 4000 rpm and stayed there until you would tap the gas pedal then it went down and started hunting!, and this happens now every time when the car is turned on it revs on 4000 or something until you tap the pedal. and also if you disconnect the vacuum hose from the map sensor it stopps hunting but idle stays at like 1500rpm, and as soon as you connect the hose to the sensor again it starts hunting again(It is not the map sensor! i have tried changing it with no change!) it cant be that the car is taking false air cause it started when the wire was disconnected from the coil. so i was thinging maby somethinghappenedd to thestepper motorr when the wire wasdisconnectedd from the coil and damaged the stepper motor is that apossibilityy? what do you think

High progesterone levels low HCG?

I never had my progesterone tested but I did have an extremely low hcg level. I was 8ish dpo and my hcg was 25. At 11 dpo it was 75...I had a perfectly normal pregnancy and a healthy baby 9 months later. I had a couple of doctors tell me I might miscarry but other doctors told me to ignore them. 82 isn't really that low of an hcg level. It has to start somewhere. I don't know about progesterone levels, sorry. I would only be concerned about how your hcg doubles. As long as it's around 160 in 2 days, you sound ok. Good luck.

i have 9 perfumes, and i like to keep the boxes they come in. Mold is only a concern if an area is repeatedly soaked. If an area of the house gets wet but then has a chance to dry then there will not likely be any mold. However, given that water got under the tiles during showers there may be a mold issue in that area (and there may not be). If water had gotten under the tiles from just your bucket trick then I would not be concerned about damage, but regular showers may have created a problem. A wet and dry shop vac is good for pulling water out of carpets.

My airsoft gun wont shoot. WHY?

i bought a used gun off of Ebay, and it wont shoot. It is a SR4A1 by SRC and when i pull the trigger, nothing happens. I charged the battery for about 4 hours, and i wouldn't get warm. The pipe actually should have a p trap installed on it. It is important that the condensate be allowed to flow away from the unit. It will be ok flowing onto the ground, but it must be free flowing. Without the drain line, air will be sucked into the opening in the unit and water will build up in the condensate drain pan until it spills over and begins to damage the unit's casings. The water also provides a perfect place for microbes and bacteria to grow, possibly exposing the occupants to unhealthy air quality.

My landlord keeps ignoring my plumbing issues, what do I do?

The louvers on the whole house fan won't stay open. We were told to replace the shutter. Now the problem is we don't know how to accurately measure. Most whole house fans tend to be 24 or 30 inches. When we measure the shutter cover in place now we get odd measurements. The motor is not the problem. The fan works great if we prop the louvers open.

If the baseboards are tight against the wall, it is not necessary; but in my experience they never are, so I caulk. Paint has no "filling" capabilities what so ever (when you paint over a nail hole, the paint does not fill it either). Caulking just looks more finished and polished.

How do I permanently fix this 2 inch slit in my water hose line for my refrigerator?

I heard a hissing noise one day from my one year old fridge and pull it from the wall to find water forcefully spaying from a slit in the water dispenser line. I don't know how it happened, but now I don't have water or ice cubes from my fridge. I was told it would be about $300 to replace the line, but since I rent and this is not my fridge I can't see paying that much. Most guns with LiPo ready gearboxes come with the LiPo connector as standard. It'd different to Large and Tamiya connector connections. With this connection, you already know it's LiPo ready. Now to upgrade you will need Various parts. The echo1 will probably shoot 330-340fps? This will most likely be with an M90 spring. Then for it to run on LiPo you will need to get an 110 spring, new gears, better motor (sytema magnum motor very good!) and i would recommend a tight bore barrel. You also should probably get a new piston and cylinder so they are stronger. This could be quite expensive. Double pole circuit breaker and my wiring have me worried.?

I had a room in my house with an outlet on a switch. I hate those so I added a ceiling fan. The switch was originally an "end Line" switch. I rewired the outlet and the switch to use a "through" switch. The part I don't understand is the circuit breaker. It is a double pole breaker 110v. It uses 2 hot wires with a common neutral. One switch controls the light in the room I'm working on, the other controls the hallway. There is some sort of transformer on the side of the panel that HUMS. WHen I turned off the breaker to the room I'm working on, the HUM stops. I noticed that the Ceiling fan motor HUMS louder than I thought it would. Here are my questions. Why the double pole breaker? To save space? What is the transformer? Does anyone see a problem with my switching an "end line" switch into a "through" switch?? Thank you so much in advance.

Mold is only a concern if an area is repeatedly soaked. If an area of the house gets wet but then has a chance to dry then there will not likely be any mold. However, given that water got under the tiles during showers there may be a mold issue in that area (and there may not be). If water had gotten under the tiles from just your bucket trick then I would not be concerned about damage, but regular showers may have created a problem. A wet and dry shop vac is good for pulling water out of carpets.

Wild Fluctuations of my Needles. While Sitting STILL, My Speedometer will show maybe 60 mph or 110 mph or anything. While driving about 40MPH, the Speedometer might show 120 mph or Beyond the Numbers area!!! also the GAS GAUGE does the same, The Entire Cluster for the Gauges went bad. My Monte Carlo only has 22,000 Original Miles. Also the Heater Fan has already Burned TWICE , I am on MY THIRD HEATER FAN MOTOR. !!! All of this...I HAD TO PAY CASH FOR, No Longer in Warrenty, and these never went out until the car was past 3 years old. . and Also, The WIPER MOTOR WAS JUST REPLACED. My back window in my bronco isn't working! Please help?

I have a 1985 bronco full sizE. So the back window in my bronco isn't working. The motor is working and nothing is broken but putting the key in the back won't make it work and the switch on the dash doesnt work either. When I hook a wire to the motor plug and run it to the wire that runs the window and then the window plug thing( sorry I forget what's it's called,I blanked) and that will make it work. But that's it. Idk what to do Please help

Ariens yt11 riding mower leaking oil?

My 1980's Ariens yt11 riding mower is leaking oil. The mower has an 11hp Briggs And Stratton engine. I believe that the oil is leaking from one of the screws attaching the motor to the machine itself. Any idea what this is? How do I fix it?

Handyman, plumber...help! Is there a toilet with 11" rough cut out there?

10" and 12" are industry standards how toilets are made. The only other solution is an offset flange. if your rough is 11" only a 10" will work in it's place. Non of the new fancy toilets are built for a 10" rough.

97 Saturn SL2 Electrical Problem?

On my Saturn, it happens in 2 places. If it happens when the vehicle is cold, When accelerating, the Transmission will be stuck in D4. if the short happens when the car is hot, you will be traveling about 75 MPH on the interstate, and the guages will go dim, and the volt meter will bottom out, like you turned the key off. It is the same response when the car is cold. It is like you turned the key off, but the engine still runs fine. The only difference I have found which is major is when it is cold and it acts up, the volt meter bottoms out like the key is turned off, and it will not shift. When hot at night, you can see all the lights go dim, the AC blower motor slows down, etc. Any ideas? ALREADY REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH UNDER THE DASH.

Does letting my car run idle a lot without driving damage the motor in any way shape or form?

How come they don't make 2 stroke dirtbikes anymore?

How come only 2 of the big four Dirtbike manufactures make 2 strokes. I really don't like 4 strokes it just costs to much to maintain. The argument that it isn't fuel efficient is BS because look at BRP's skidoo ETEC snowmobiles! They are two stroke and they use the same amount of gas as the four strokes. I race motorcross and I keep seeing people with 250f an 450f with blown up motors! It costs wayyy more to rebuild one of those compared to a 2 stroke. I have a 2007 cr 125 and I want to stay with honda. I also still have my cr 85 and I have a Honda foreman atv. I have never ha any real big problems with any of them. I want a 2011 cr 125, why don't they make them?

Could you survive living in the wilderness in western Washington state?

I am looking to go out into the wilderness for 1-3 years, and I was wondering if the Cascade or Olympic mountains of Washington state would be a good choice, the climate is pretty moderate there, and as far as I know there are no extraordinarily dangerous diseases or organisms there. I will definitely bring supplies like tools to build a shelter, books, maybe some entertainment, first aid, etc. I was wondering if I should stay in a trailer, RV, camper, or a tent, or just build a shelter myself. I'm not sure about building something myself because I'm not what you would call a handyman.

How "wild" do you want to go? Personally I'd start with a LT4 hot cam and some gears in the rear end. Then maybe a stroker kit if you want to up the cubic inches. Or just go full blown, build the motor with forged internals and slap a big supercharger on there.

I am currently in the army but wanting to leave, I'm 23 and have been in for 4years. I want to get a full time job preferably become a firefighter or policeman but on the side I want to get into being a handyman and be able upgrade my own house but eventually I want to get into property development. I dont know whether this is the right path though. I have the ability and qualifications to do a degree so would it be best just to go into engineering or architecture of some sort? Have a pool that had not been serviced in 2 years or so. Needless to say, it is a swamp. We were told to just shock it daily 10- 15 lbs. The problem is, they installed a new motor on the pump, and it is apparently running higher in pressure than max psi for filter.We were told to backwash, and did it, but the pressure did not change. Ok we made plans to go camping a week ago..we woke up late on the day to go..nothing is packed...he decides to start hanging a door!...I say one little thing..and he freaks "you don't think I can do this and everything else you wanted"?!...I didn't want him to do anything..I just wanted him to act like it would be fun to have a day with the family...but when we try to have family days he finds ways to ruin it..its almost noon and we have a 2 hr drive to the lake..and he's still..hanging the door...so me 7 months preggo is loading the truck!...I can't do everything anymore!..I have a 4 yr old and hubby fights me with everything!..when I do dishes he wants attnetion..he's not a handyman by any means...so why would he choose to hang the door when we are supposto go?...I can't say much to him he wings out on me a lot and its better sometimes to just keep my mouth shut :(

I was having problems well on deployment, I went on R and R and the problems kept happening and finally got worse i ended up in the hospital and let my chain of command know what was going on. I was diagnosed with adjustment disorder i believe or something like that. I got a psych eval at fort Stewart and was told i was not fit for duty, Now i am back at my duty station Fort Hood and have been doing counseling. I had an incident where I got very suicidal before even back at Hood and i told them about it and showed them things i had written down. During a day it got so bad i became suicidal once more and I ended up having the MP's come to the motor pool for me to make sure i was alright and they took me to the ER for help. They NCO's know about everything going on with me but nothing is happening, I asked my counselor if I can see psych about this and everything going on to get an idea of my mental status because i am scared of myself at this point and I was told that I dont have any serious symptoms that really need to be addressed..? I feel as if they dont care and are not going to do anything about anything going on with me. I have been very irritable with everyone lately and have depressive thoughts. Its driving me to the ground and i feel that i need to leave Fort hood for a little bit to clear my head before I hurt someone or myself or I do something to stop myself from leaving.... I just want to know what will happen if i was to go AWOL for 25-28 days
